A Little History
Hello! This game has been a project I’ve been working on for the past about 5 months. Currently though it is only a file on Obsidian where I have all my ideas stored, hell it’s still not even done there!
Anyways, I wanted to give a little bit of history about me and this game.
Like many, I grew up with gaming, it’s been a huge part of my childhood, and the idea of making my own game had always fascinated me, yes that sounds very cliche I know. My first game idea was taking Minecraft and making it into an RPG, I actually made quite a large chunk of ideas, having a Google Doc I worked on at school every day, if I remember correctly it was over 50 pages long! But after a while the spark had burned out and it died off. Then about 7 months ago I had formed a random idea while bored out of my mind, “What if Mario Party was in VR?” And then ideas formed, but then I realized I haven’t even made a game before and diving head first straight into the virtual reality field is a horrible idea and would lead to a lot of problems. But the idea never had left my brain, and eventually it had turned into a new idea, “What if Mario Party was a more violent game?” This is when my brain started really coming up with ideas, and I made a chaotic Mario Party style game, but once I made more ideas it eventually led to me realizing, there’s no way I can make this work, so I ended up scrapping the Mario Party half and had taken inspiration from games like Finding Frankie and Fall Guys, a big race full of chaos. And thus Breakdown Mayhem was born.
The game is still in a very early state of development and honestly I’m not sure I’ll ever even get around to making it, but just in case I do I made this page to try to form a community for it.
So please join me in this journey to try to create a game
